Habit: Dense,strongly upright,broadly columnar. Fruits: Fleshy,berry-like,to8mm(1/4in)across,poisnous.Bright red. Leaves: Evergreen,linear,pointed at the tip,to 3cm(1/4in)long,standing out all around the shoots.Very dark green. Native habitat: Originated in Eire. Cultivation: Tolerates very dry and shady conditions,and a wide range of soil types and pH,including chalky ones. Propagation: By cuttings of the current year's growth from autumn to spring.

Uses - Height: 10-15m(30-50ft).
