Glossy dark green. Native Habitat: Thickets and rocky places in S.W. Ireland and the Mediaterranean. Cultivation: Tolerates lime, but prefers a deep, fertile, humus-rich soil. Shelter from wind. Propagation: By seed in autumn or by semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
